Gabriel's mother was pregnant and malnurshished when she came to us. As all of the horses in the herd seized by the Maricopa county sheriff’s department were Apaloosas, it was assumed that the sire was an Apaloosa. At Mama’s first vet examination, Dr. Johnson stated that he could not confirm pregnancy.

Who we are...
We are a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing abused, abandoned or otherwise endangered horses. Our goal is to then either find good homes for the horses or train them to be used as therapy horses in diverse therapeutic programs.

Why Rescue Horses?
Escalante Springs takes in and cares for horses that have either been neglected, abused, abandoned, and/or are at risk of going to slaughter. We will place these horses in an environment that benefits both the horse and the adoptive family.
